GIA Campus in New York

I spent almost one hour for the GIA Pearl exam, there are 50 single choice questions in the exam. The questions are not more difficult than the quiz of each chapter in GIA Pear course book. I read the pearl course book twice and didn't see any tough questions in the exam. I was advised to receive my exam score and GIA Pearl Certification in about one week.

Anxiously awaiting for my GIA Pearl certification . :-)

After I took the first photo below, I was warned by the security guy that it's not allowed to take photos inside of GIA. Therefore, this photo below is the only photo I took inside of GIA Campus. So disappointing......

South Sea Pearl like dyed Freshwater Pearls

We just bought lots of new pearls from Pearl farm, some of them have very stunning beautiful color. Check this out : AAA 17.5" 9mm GOLDEN CULTURED FW PEARL NECKLACE 14K CLASP

When My Partner, Jacky , told me about this item, I was shocked. "What is that? 9mm south sea pearl ??" Finally, it turns out it's dye colored freshwater pearls. I have to admit their techniques of dying pearls really improved a lot. At the first glance, my eyes was fooled by the stunning color and I think it's golden color south sea pearl, of course the pearl size is too small for south sea pearls, which is at least more than 11mm in size. Anyway, generally speaking, the pearl surface, roundness, luster and matching are pretty good, especially the beaufiful golden color is very unique.

"How many stands does the pearl farmer have in their stock ? Order them all ..."

Rare 13.5mm Freshwater Pearl Necklace

Want a larger size pearl necklace ? Check this out :

HUGE 17" 13.5mm TAHITIAN BLACK FW PEARL NECKLACE 14K
We bought this new items from Pearl farm at the end of April,2007 This pearl necklace features 12-13.5mm pearls in size, very good surface, roundness , luster and perfectly matching. It's very difficult to collect the same quality matching pearls in this size and knot this necklace. Plus, unlike cultured Akoya saltwater pearls, which have nuclear bead inside of the pearls, freshwater pearls are tissue-nucleated pearls, in another word, there is no nuclear bead inside of the pearl, the whole pearl is made of nacre. Therefore, thinking about a strand of all-nacred 12-13.5mm pearl necklace in your mind, then, take a look at the price tag. You will realize it's really a bargain.

We only have ONE strand of this stunning pearl necklace in store. No second chance offer !

Photos of our Trip to Pearl Farm

Most of our items are Cultured Freshwater Pearls. As you may have known that the Cultured pearls are grown on all kinds of pearl farms. In Pearl Farms, the pearl farmers manually nucleated hundreds of oysters and then cared for them over the 2-5 years for a pearl to grow and develop. If you are lucky enough the witness the Pearl harvest process when traveling to a pearl farm in a harvest season, you will feel very impressive of watching the Pearl harvesting oyster by oyster and the entire Pearl producing process, from Pearl oyster turn into semi-finished Pearl products. We travel to Pearl Farms almost every two months, our representatives go there to pick the high quality pearls, negotiate the wholesale price with Pearl Farmers and purchase the newly harvest quality pearls directly from the Pearl Farms. Please see these photos below, we took these photo on Jun.2nd,2006, when we are in a typical pearl farm in the south of China.
